Hello to all my WestFly friends,

As many of you know from my post a few months back, I was "forced" to move back to Chicago for a little while due to some issues with the wife. Most of you can relate to where I am coming from. Well, things on that front aren't looking too hot, but otherwise; I have found copy writing work that I can do from anywhere. It's basically sweat-shop labor, but it is work, and after a year without an income, I'm happy to take anything I can get- even if I have to write about baby food and IT solutions and many other boring subjects that I know nothing about.

Anyway, my new-found freedom and focus will allow me the mobility to live where ever I choose. I really do not like living in Chicago and I love Boise, so the choice is clear. My plan is to save as much money as I can while living rent-free, and I will be returning to the Treasure Valley around the beginning of March. I wish it could be sooner, but I need to take advantage of my current situation.

So there is my update, and I look forward to doing much more fishing next season. At least I will not have to rely on Boise's job market for survival, as this pitiful situation was part of the cause of my personal issues.

Sorry for boring you guys, but I figured someone may be interested. If anyone can offer and advice regarding copy writing opportunities in Boise, please let me know, as I do want to develop a local side to my business.

Keep in touch and I am looking forward to fishing with many of you very soon,

gc

I'm glad you're going to get to go home to Treasure Valley. There are many of us economic refugees working away from home because there is no choice. Hang in there. It will be sooner than you think.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and I know a lot of you read my post, and that means a bunch to me. I'll let everyone know when I return, and I can't wait. At least I know that I'm not missing much - anywhere north of Florida is going to be rough, weather-wise, for the next three months, so I will keep saving for my return without worrying about missing out on fun and fishing. Maybe once I get into the steelhead thing I will feel differently, but I figure March is the perfect time to return; the SFB will still be open and I do want to see what the O looks like when it is low. What keeps me going is my plan to hit eastern Idaho next summer, along with Silver Creek and other locales.

Keep in touch,

gc
