Since the original publication of that review, I have received a second printing that corrects errors in the first printing. If the maps in the second edition are accurate--and they are a definite improvement over the first edition--then this is a useful book. It has access points, boat ramps, roads, and other information of use to anglers all in one place. I'm not keen on the way the fishing tactics are described, but the maps are nicely done and--according to the publisher--corrected. I'll have to take the publisher's word for that; the rivers I'm most familiar with are now more accurate than before, at least, so I assume other errors are fixed as well. Unfortunately, the second printing does not say "SECOND PRINTING" anywhere. One way to check is to look on the page for the Deschutes River (page 43). If you find the Harpham Flat launch point, you're holding the second printing. Bottom Line: The second edition is what you want. Read the review to learn how to get it.
